Claire Bateman
Claire Bateman is the author of the hybrid collection The Pillow Museum (Fiction Collective 2/University of Alabama Press) and nine other collections: Wonders of the Invisible World (42 Miles Press), Scape (New Issues Poetry & Prose), Locals (Serving House Books), Coronology and Other Poems Etruscan Press), Leap (New Issues), Clumsy (New Issues), Friction (winner of the Eighth Mountain Poetry Prize), Coronology (a chapbook–single long poem, Serving House Books), At the Funeral of the Ether (Ninety-Six Press, Furman University), and The Bicycle Slow Race (University Press of New England). She has been awarded Individual Artist Fellowships by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Tennessee Arts Commission Foundation, as well as two Pushcart Prizes and the New Millennium Poetry Prize (also twice). She lives in Greenville, SC, and is poetry editor of Hubris.
