Heather Colley is an English Literature PhD student at Oxford University and a research fellow of the British Library. Her fiction writing has won The Oxford Review of Books Short Fiction Prize, the Hopwood Award, and the Desperate Literature Short Fiction Prize Shortlist. Her academic work has won the D.C. Watt Prize and been published in Review of English Studies, Routledge Companion to Gender and Childhood, and Oxford Comparative Criticism and Translation Review. Her debut fiction novel The Gilded Butterfly Effect was published by Three Rooms Press in October 2025. Her short fiction collection Public Property And Other Stories was published by Serving House Books in 2026.
